Global beauty boom drives Hugel to record H1 sales

Hugel Sets New Sales Records, Fueling Global Aesthetics Boom

The global aesthetic market is buzzing, and Hugel is leading the charge with impressive financial results that underscore the surging international demand for advanced beauty and medical aesthetics. The company recently reported record sales, operating profit, and net income for the first half of 2026, demonstrating a successful strategy rooted in expanding its portfolio and tapping into burgeoning global markets.

Hugel’s consolidated sales soared by 27.2% year-on-year, reaching KRW254.5 billion during the first half. This remarkable growth was powered by a diverse range of products, including high-demand botulinum toxin treatments alongside continued expansion in dermal fillers, skinboosters, and cosmetics.

The financial momentum continued strongly into the second quarter, with sales increasing by 25.1% to KRW137.9 billion. Despite this robust growth, the company was strategically investing heavily, notably in its US direct-sales operations and marketing efforts, which impacted operating profit slightly year-on-year as the team focused on future expansion.

The core engine behind Hugel’s success clearly lies in its portfolio diversification. Botulinum toxin treatments stood out as the primary growth driver, achieving a staggering 46.6% increase in sales during the first half of the year, reaching KRW149.4 billion. This surge was amplified by phenomenal performance in the Americas, where sales more than doubled.

Beyond injectables, Hugel’s commitment to broader beauty solutions also paid off handsomely. The cosmetics and other businesses segment experienced strong growth, climbing 31.7% to KRW39 billion in H1. This dual performance confirms the company’s successful strategy of building an expansive portfolio that caters to the evolving needs of the global medical aesthetics and beauty landscape.

Ultimately, Hugel’s performance shines a spotlight on the increasing international reach of Korean medical aesthetics businesses. The strong momentum across various product lines, especially in high-growth regions like the Americas, solidifies the company’s position as a key player driving the acceleration of global aesthetics and cosmetics sales.
