Galderma joins Swiss market index

A major milestone has been reached for the global dermatology powerhouse Galderma, officially cementing its status as a key player in the Swiss financial landscape. The company has successfully joined the Swiss Market Index (SMI), becoming a constituent of Switzerland’s benchmark index of the country’s largest and most liquid listed companies.

This inclusion marks a significant development for the dermatology group, reflecting the growing scale and undeniable importance of its business within the Swiss capital market. The move highlights not only the operational success of Galderma but also the deep integration of its products and services into the Swiss economy.

The journey to this listing followed the company’s Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the SIX Swiss Exchange in March 2024, positioning Galderma firmly among the nation’s leading blue-chip entities within the specialized sector.

The financial momentum driving this success has been robust. Galderma’s net sales demonstrated significant growth, rising from US$4.41 billion in 2024 to US$5.21 billion in 2025. This expansion was fueled by strong performance across several key segments: Injectable Aesthetics, Dermatological Skincare, and Therapeutic Dermatology.

Looking ahead, the trajectory remains upward. The company’s performance in the first half of 2026 was particularly strong, with sales increasing by 24.6 percent year-on-year at constant currency. This strong performance prompted Galderma to raise its full-year sales growth guidance to a more ambitious 19–21 percent, signaling continued confidence in future expansion.

While Galderma continues its impressive growth curve, it operates within a larger framework, with L’Oréal currently holding a 20 percent stake in the dermatology group, leaving the remaining 80 percent in free float for the broader market.

Inclusion in the SMI is more than just a listing; it symbolizes the growing maturity and systemic importance of the dermatology business. It underscores Galderma’s position as an influential force, marrying world-class dermatological innovation with strong financial performance and a proud presence on the Swiss exchange.
