Bogart Sells Israeli Cosmetics Business for €5.8 Million

A major shift is underway in the international landscape of French beauty and fragrance, as the cosmetics giant Bogart has executed a significant divestiture of one of its international assets.

The French group has sold its Israeli subsidiary, April Cosmetics and Perfumes Store Chain, marking a strategic move aimed at streamlining its global operations and optimizing its financial structure.

The transaction, valued at approximately €5.8 million, was finalized with April Holding D.K., a company owned by David Konckier, Bogart’s Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and principal shareholder. This move signals a focus on refocusing resources and strengthening the group’s financial footing.

Before the final sale price, the Israeli business was valued at approximately €10 million, a figure which factored in the net financial debt of the operation.

The sold entity, April, had established a notable presence in the region, operating 47 stores across Israel. In 2025, the chain generated €36.7 million in revenue, contributing 13.9 percent to Bogart’s overall consolidated sales. The subsidiary also reported an EBITDA of €0.7 million, demonstrating its operational performance.

This disposal is integral to Bogart’s broader strategy to review its international retail operations and improve capital allocation. By shedding this asset, the group is better positioned to redirect its focus and resources towards other core business priorities.

The transaction received formal approval from Bogart’s Board of Directors on October 12, 2026, ensuring that this restructuring aligns with the group’s long-term financial objectives.
